AT LIBERTY IT IS ALL ABOUT BASIC BLOCKING AND TACKLING
Liberty Transport is a dynamic transportation company that is changing the industry by setting the new standard for customer service. Liberty is able to do this as they have significant investment in technology that supports their processes and their people. Veteran owned and operated Liberty is based out of Richmond, Va, and is conveniently located near I-95 and I-64. Liberty supports most of the major LTL carriers in the region along with freight forwarders and direct shippers.

As a consumer, can I track my shipment realtime?
Yes, we have this capability but it is the shipper's decision if it is made available.
What is the definition of curbside or basic delivery?
The first dry spot as related to the location of our truck.
Do you call the consumer 30 minutes ahead of the delivery?
Yes, we call all consumer customers 30 minutes ahead of deliveries and as required on our b2b freight.
Can you handle pickups?
Yes, we have alot of capacity on the road and handle pickups for b2b freight, first mile freight and reverse logistics.
Can you handle hot shots?
Yes, see our service area above to understand if your shipment is a good match for our service.
Will your driver bring my shipment in my house?
If the service level as provided by the shipper indicates threshold or inside delivery, we will bring it in. When we call to set the appointment we will discuss the service level to make sure everyone is in agreement.
Do you offer crossdock services?
The simple answer is yes; we provide crossdock, sweeps, consolidation and deconsolidation and many custom programs.
How is your pricing setup?
Typically it follows the segment of the industry we are working for; (ie - freight forwarders get zone based pricing, LTL gets weight based. But ultimately we work with each customer to establish the right program and pricing.

How to apply
At Liberty Transport we do not recruit through job posting boards; but rather get our drivers through word of mouth and locally sponspored events.

The Process
While we would love for this process to be an interview and a hire; the process takes a little longer. Once we have determined a good fit you can expect it to take up to two weeks for the background check to be completed
Review of Expectations
Prior to signing an employment agreement we have one final conversation with the applicant to make sure all of their questions have been answered and reiterate the expectations of our company.
